As a solution we are proposing an organization which makes women from ages 18-34 feel safe to tell their story. We are planning to interview the survivors of rape, sexual assault etc. We can let them know that if they speak up they can prevent their abuser from attacking many more. We are proposing to gather these victims in order to open the eyes of the world so they can witness what kind of justice system we have. We are also going to participate in the “Women's March” to advocate the rights that women deserve. Marching matters. Recently, the national dialogue has turned to the issue of sexual harassment and violence. From the rise of the #MeToo campaign to the #timesup campaign, survivors and advocates who are joining together to say, “no more.” Women’s rights are indeed human rights. We are proposing to bring a speaker to our school so that the students can be educated and aware about sexual assault warnings and about consent. The purpose would be for young adults to recognize their right to refuse sex since it’s part of recognizing their broader rights as a woman. It is extremely important because it reflects the autonomy, independence and power we hold . A woman does not need to engage in any sexual activity she does not want to, or feel pressured to please anyone by taking part when she does not feel comfortable. Sex should only occur if it is something both people involved have chosen to do. They should know their body and mind only belongs to them.
